Thanksgiving is almost here… and the church guests are coming!
Some people will visit your church/congregation on the Sunday after Thanksgiving after visiting at grandma’s house.
Give some thought to how to make these church visitors (church guests) feel welcome.
Maybe some red rose stickers would help… Or you give them a FREE gift…
Or what ideas do you have?
J. Yarbrough
Are you collecting relevant contact info on your church guests?
Your church will need this in order to followup with your church visitors.
I recommend that you get their mailing address, email address and phone number.
However, you might also ask for a cell phone number and/or fax number and a Twitter id.

Dear Christian,
They are coming…
A lot of kids will be out door knocking in costume and asking for candy soon. And many of these children will not be Christians.
Halloween is just around the corner…
What will you give them when they come to your house?
Can you answer the door with a smile?
You might even consider giving them a New Testament or tract, or something related to Evangelism, church attendance, Bible study, etc.
Think about it…
Please share your thoughts.

Your church needs a Facebook Fan page.
And maybe a Twitter account… and you might want to start a blog.
Use social media to connect with people in your local community and invite them to worship services, Bible classes, and other church-sponsored activities.
Keep in touch with your church visitors and/or church guests with social media.
Let us know if you need help with this.

Hello, Christian.
Here’s some ideas for the Fall to help bring guests (visitors) to your church or congregation:
1. Have a Treat in the Trunk event in the parking lot at your church building.
2. Have friends and members get together to watch a favorite football team play on television (college or NFL).
3. Have a Fall Festival where fun activities like face painting for the kids, maybe a bounce house, etc.
4. Have a Toy Drive and collect toys for Christmas… Get an early start.
5. Have a Thanksgiving meal for homeless, unemployed, etc. people — Invite them to your building or have this in a local park, community center, etc.
What are your ideas…?
Please share,
J. Yarbrough, your Evangelism coach
P.S. As a reminder, you can use red rose stickers to identify your church guests at any of these events.
The kids have started back to school…
And once these families get ‘settled’ into a routine, they might be open to an invitation from you to visit your worship service or Bible class or come as a church guest to some other church-sponsored event like a concert or fall festival.
Let God use you to invite church visitors to these events!
Grace and peace,
J. Yarbrough

Dear friend,
Invite nonchristians to visit your church on Christmas Eve and around New Years.
Expect the visitors to come… and when they do… offer them a red rose sticker for their shirt, blouse or jacket.
Why? Because:
1. It will make your church visitors feel special and welcome.
and
2. It makes it easier for your members to see these special guests and come over to introduce themselves.
Happy holidays!

Dear Christian friend,
Today’s the first day of December.
What can you and/or your church do to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ during this month?
Here’s a few ideas that might help…
1. Have a song service where all the songs have to do with the promise of Messiah and the birth of Jesus.
2. Setup a ‘live’ nativity scene — with ‘live’ animals.
3. Have a birthday party for Jesus!
4. Have a Christmas Eve candle-lighting service.
etc.
Whatever you do… Invite your friends and neighbors to this event!!
So what are your ideas? Post them out here on this blog; won’t you?
God bless,
J. Yarbrough, your Evangelism coach
